To Bob Betts of Concerned Christians:
I grew up in the Baptist church. My mother was a devout Baptist and Christian as anyone alive. She raised her family in the Baptist church. My mother’s grandfather was an early Baptist preacher that preached in the early 1800s. My brother served on the Southern Baptist Convention for many years. Dr. Adrian Rogers was revered by my family, almost as a prophet of God. I am an authority on Baptist Doctrine and many other Protestant religions. I have studied extensively the many different versions of the Protestant and Catholic Bibles.
Many years ago, when I was 32 years old, I was introduced to the Book of Mormon by a friend. My desire to know more about the gospel of Jesus Christ burned in my soul with a fervent heat. I knew that Baptist Doctrine was lacking in many respects. Every word from the Book of Mormon and the missionaries who bore their testimonies of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon impressed upon me that the Book of Mormon was true.
The Book of Mormon is another testament to life of Jesus Christ. It makes the Bible clear to all those that are in tune to the Holy Spirit and will allow the Spirit to speak to them. I am so thankful that my heart was in tune with the Holy Spirit that day in 1976.
The Book of Mormon can speak to you too Bob, The Holy Spirit speaks to you now. Open your heart and mind. You will be blessed beyond measure. I bare you my witness that the Book of Mormon is true.
Gob Bless
